Most of us want to be liked. We want others to think
we are nice, kind, sweet, friendly, and so on. Constantly fighting for the approval of others.
Since childhood, some of us have been trying to get approval. It usually starts with the approval of your parents, especially if they were the type to never say they were proud of you. That need for approval then continues in trying to get people to like us and think highly of us.
Many times you may be looking for approval from people who have none to give. You need to learn that you are lovable and must start to learn to approve yourself.
In order to live happily and in your ultimate power, you must let go of your extreme need for approval. The obsession to hold on to the unmet needs for approval and love from the past, you are giving others control over YOU today.
We must approve of ourselves… that’s it.
In the end, that’s the only approval that counts.
Your mantra for this week:
Today, I will let go of my need for approval and my
need to be liked. I will replace it with a need to like and approve of myself.I am going to be surprised and enjoy the process. The people who count, including myself, will respect me when I am true to myself. I am enough. I am worthy!
